Trisha’s love for movement started at a very young age. Her foundation of movement came from studio dance, drill and dance team, and hip hop dance groups. Throughout the years, her involvement with movement evolved into art, self-expression, and community building. Trisha came to yoga specifically after a human rights trip to the Philippines because she was looking for something to feel more grounded and healing. It was through yoga that she discovered the importance of pranayama in the midst of difficult struggles, on and off the mat.
Trisha received her 200 HR at YoYo Yogi in Portland, Oregon where she also currently teaches hot vinyasa. As a lifelong learner she has also taken courses at the Bhaktishop, Love Hive, and Living Yoga. Trisha invites you into a grounding and challenging practice of synchronizing breath with movement. You are invited to participate in her classes where she interweaves the yamas and niyamas of yoga with creative asana sequencing. You will be able to experience the expression of movement through breath and come out feeling challenged, inspired, and restored.
In Trisha’s spare time, she loves to hang out with her 5lb dog named Pancit. Trisha’s practice of ahimsa is demonstrated through being active in community organizing, advocating for marginalized communities. She co-founded Humans of Color Movement Alliance, GABRIELA Portland, and International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines PNW, and is the executive administrative assistant for the Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence.
