All of our classes are for all levels.

Vinyasa

This class works to increase balance, strength and flexibility while emphasizing the connections between the breath, centeredness in the core, and movement.

You can expect a short meditation at the beginning of class followed by gentle warm up exercises, sun salutations, a series of standing poses and plenty of time to wind down into savasana. Be prepared for a playful, explorative and energizing practice. While this class is challenging, students are highly encouraged to move with their own breath and work where they are.

Hatha

This class will offer an opportunity for you to become more curious about  movement, in regards to the specific qualities that are unique to your body and your practice.   We will use breath and traditional asana, to explore ways to move in an integrated and functional way.  Each class sequence will be presented with the goal of teaching skills that a student can utilize consistently in his/her practice, and build upon from week to week. We will explore moving in varying planes and ranges of motion, with trunk stability and active muscle engagement, and an emphasis on stretching with strength and whole body integration.  There will be effort exerted in this class, but in a way that encourages each student to find his/her own intelligent edge.

Class consists of holding poses from 2 to 10 minutes, focusing on one target area of muscles while completely relaxing everything else. Fascia, meridians, and chakras will be discussed. The nature of Yin is slow, full, and intuitive. You will gain the most benefit by going within.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra, also known as "yogic sleep", is a guided meditation with the invitation to meet, greet and welcome what is being sensed and felt throughout the body. This restorative practice liberates and frees the mind so your experience derives from a deeper intuitive place. The result of this class may calm the nervous system, decrease anxiety, increase energy, and lead to less stress and better overall health. There may be some gentle physical movement or discussion for the first part of class, and the remainder will be spent in a resting, restorative posture. No prior experience necessary, both new and seasoned students welcome!

Booty Core Connect

This class is all about the booty, the core AND yes it is fun! We will move some energy, and build the midsection of the body to be your power center. Class is focused on developing core and glute muscles while relaxing the muscles that habitually overwork like the neck, back and thighs. Working in this way, “uncoupling” muscles enables you to strengthen your abdominal and hip muscles while releasing stress in your neck, back and knees. Class focuses on internal movements that change your body from the inside out. In time, your body emanates strength from within while the tension in your neck, shoulders, hips and knees melts away. Kids Yoga

This class provides a balance between spontaneity and structure, so that kids learn to listen to each other as well as express themselves creatively. We believe that kids learn best when they're having fun, so interweaving story, games and poses, allows children to learn in a multi-sensory environment which explores kinesthetic, visual, intra-personal learning. This makes Yoga for Kids classes much more active than yoga for adults, and much more fun!

In Yoga class, children are also encouraged to respect and pay attention to their bodies, making sure each pose feels good and coming in and out of shapes when they feel ready (something most adults have a hard time doing!). As children grow and their bodies change quickly, this becomes an important skill.

Besides the immense physical and mental benefits, a central tenet of yoga practice is respect and honor: for ourselves; for each other and our environment. In a yoga class, children often go on magical journeys around the world, learning about different animal habitats, endangered species, and often get to share their knowledge of a favorite animal.

Children have an innate affinity with the natural world, and animals in particular They understand and enjoy learning about and caring for the earth and its inhabitants, both human and animal.
